The Shawnee Mission Triathlon is a closed course event featuring a Short Course (Sprint Distance) and a Long Course (International Distance) in Shawnee Mission Park, operated by the Johnson County Park & Recreation District. The swim is an out and back course with a standing water start. The bike course is 2 laps (short course) or 4 laps (long course) of the main park road providing a rolling venue. The run is routed on the Mill Creek Streamway which adjoins Shawnee Mission Park. This route provides some of the most beautiful natural surroundings in the Midwest region of the United States.
